Jean Michel Garetti is professor of oboe and chamber music at the University of Aveiro. Between 1989 and 2015 he has occupied the positions of solo English with the Orchestre de l’ Opera de Saint-Etienne (France), the Orquestra Metropolitana de Lisboa and the Orquestra Nacional do Porto (Portugal). He studied at the CNSM in Paris (France) with David Walter, Jacques Tys and Maurice Bourgue where he obtained his Master in oboe and chamber music. He holds a PhD in Performance from the University of Aveiro and is a member of INET-md. He is director of www.oboesales.com which he created in 1997 to provide a specialized service entirely dedicated to oboists.

Tiago Coimbra is professor of oboe at the Superior School of Applied Arts in Castelo Branco ( Portugal) and soloist in the Göttinger Symphonie Orchester (Germany) as well as in the Orquestra Filarmonia da Beiras. He studied in the classes of Thomas Indermühle in Zurich and Emanuel Abbühl in Basel. He holds a PhD in Music from the University of Aveiro. Since 2020, he has collaborated with www.oboesales.com, specializing in Reeds and Stuff’s scraping machines and in the manufacture of oboe and English horn’s reeds.
